Sleepover

I had my first sleepover last night! We had really bad rain storms yesterday and we lost our power so mummy and I went over to our friends, the Tofilons. Camryn was kind enough to lend me her pack-n-play and I snoozed away. Apparently while I slept mummy tried to deal with the small flood in the basement.

Today is a new day though and there's a big fan in the basement to dry things up. It was fun though to have my first sleepover with kids closer to my own age and I owe Camryn lots of thanks for giving me a place to sleep.

Stats

So I just had my 2 month visit today and am happy to report that I am doing well. I'm in the 25% for both height and weight right now and everything seems to be progressing nicely.

I had my first big adventure this weekend that has afforded me the opportunity to visit 2 new states. First we fly to Washington DC to see the sights and hang out with our friends Jeff & Heather Lewis and Huck. Then we went to MD so that mummy & daddy could go to the Slote's wedding. They saw lots of their friends from Boston and I was able to hang out with Gran Goodall again. At brunch on Sunday I got to meet some people more my size when I met Selah Dorn and Ellie Watson. Now those are girls I can relate to!

Now I've got a little time at home to reconnect with my old friends before it's off to Boston for Labor
Day weekend, then Grandpa Abrams
comes to visit, then I'm off to Barbados. I'll tell you one thing, I am a man about the town and you can't tie me down!

Grandma Abrams at Ravinia

When not trying to drink wine I got to hang out with Grandma Abrams, Mummy, Daddy and Jeff and Allison Smith at Ravinia while listening to Nickel Creek and Fiona Apple. I'm beginning to really like live music - I really like hearing it at church and then at this concert.

Mmm... Merlot

Daddy was just going to let me have a small taste, until Mummy decided that wasn't a good idea... Remember Daddy is European.

Great Aunt Liz

Here is a picture of me and Great Aunt Liz who came all the way from Scotland to visit me. I hope I'll get to go there soon to visit her.

Navigating

I was reading the map and telling everyone where to see all the different things around the Chicago Botanical Gardens.

Mummy & Grandma

Here is a picture of Mummy and Grandma and the Chicago Botanical Gardens. We bought a family membership when we were there so we can go back for lots of walks over the next year.

Uncle Peter

A couple of weeks ago I had a really busy weekend - first Grandma Abrams came, then the next day Gran Goodall came back and brought Great Aunt Liz and Uncle Peter with her. We had a great weekend with everyone in town - we went to the Botanical Gardens and made my first trip into Downtown Chicago to pick up my birth certificate so I can apply for a passport for my trip to Barbados in September. This is a picture of Uncle Peter holding me - I'm a lot more comfortable that I look - Uncle Peter is very careful with me. I hope we'll get to spend lots more time together.

Take me out the ballpark...

I love the Green Monster and the Boston Red Sox. One of my favourite activities is to lie in my crib and watch my Green Monster mobile spin around while I listen to "Take Me Out to the Ballpark." Maybe next season I'll even get to go to real a Red Sox game.

Chillin' on the Couch

Now that I've gained a lot more head control I'll sit on the couch sometimes with Mummy and Daddy and just relax - sometimes they'll fall asleep but I soon wake them up again to play.

Froggy

Here is a picture of me after bathtime. Mummy and Daddy love dressing me up as a frog, sometimes I love it, other times not as much.
