Latest

Things in my life have been hopping lately. I've cut my second tooth, learned to pull myself up to a stand on anything and clap. I also have decided that my hammer is my favorite toy and I bring it everywhere and bang on everything. Oh, and now that I can stand, I can watch the train go by whenever I want which is the best development I've had so far!

Crazy Eights

Eight months and counting. With no doctors appointment I don't have any official stats, but the at home version is 17 lbs 6 oz and 27 inches. If that holds true, I'm going for the long and lanky look as I will have finally broke free of the 25% for height.

Things are good otherwise. I'm ruling the roost as I crawl all over the place and pull up on anything that will hold me. My little tooth continues to poke through as my lone tooth, but I've let mummy feel how sharp it is and now she keeps her fingers out of my mouth!

Escape Plan

During all of my naps today I beckoned mummy to come get me early to show her my new skill. The other day my pediatrician warned mummy that she thought that I'd be out of my crib early, and little does she know. With my new skill I'm beginning to hatch my escape plan. I accidentally let mummy in a bit on the plan when I tried to lift my leg to step up, but she doesn't even know the half of the plan so it's still ok.

Trapped

I got the Original Rollercoaster for Christmas and have really enjoyed tipping it over and banging it on the floor. Well the other day apparently I tipped it a bit too far and got stuck in it. I wasn't bothered by it, but I was glad that mummy was there to help free me.

Biting Off What I Can Chew

My latest and greatest news? I'm starting to master finger foods right as my first tooth is cutting through! It's one of the bottom central incisors and it's just breaking the surface. I was a nighttime disaster for mummy the past few nights while we were in Boston and now she thinks she knows why. Finger food has been going well too. I'm a pretty slow eater, but I'm getting there and am enjoying all the new textures.

Snow Day

The weather forecast for today is from somewhere between 6-12 inches of snow. All of our plans today have been canceled and we're having a snow day. Mummy won't let me go out and play in so sometime I just sit at the window and watch it fall. It looks very pretty and I can't wait to someday be able to play in it.
