Wrapping

I've started my Christmas shopping and was busy wrapping gifts today. I think I did a pretty good job if you ask me.

Daddy's Shoes

Daddy got a pair of new shoes today and I thought I'd try them on for size. I have big feet for my age, but I've got a long way to go before I'll be borrowing daddy's shoes.......

Swing Friends

My friends Peter and Denise were in town for Thanksgiving so they came by to meet me in person. They were the ones who gave me my swing so I automatically liked them. Peter let me snuggle into his shoulder and Denise played with me a lot, so I had a great time. They wanted to get into building my college alliances as well and brought me a great Louisville Cardinals outfit. Luckily I've got time to figure where I want to go to college, so if you've got other recommendations let me know.

I Have Feet!!!

I have finally hit one of mummy's favorite unofficial milestones - I have found my feet! I love to hold onto them and I even suck my big toe. It's kinda funny since I don't suck my thumb that I'd suck my toe, but I do. You'll also see that we've found a pajama solution for my big feet - socks on the end of pajamas, a great British invention.

Happy Thanksgiving

I celebrated my first Thanksgiving today by helping mummy and daddy host. We didn't have any plans with family so we hosted a refugee family from the Congo who had recently moved to the Chicago area. They had a 6 month old little girl, Rachel, for me to play with which was great. I recognize that I have so much to be thankful for already, but now I have some new friends, so there's even more to be thankful for.

Hawaii Five-0

Today's my big 5 month birthday. There's no doctor's appointment (code for no shots - yeah!) so I can't tell you how big I am, but as you can see I'm getting bigger and bigger. I'm also starting to get hair which is pretty exciting. Mummy and daddy still aren't totally sure what color it is - somewhere between blond and strawberry blond. Time will tell. I'm also getting to be a pretty good sitter which is fabulous because now I have a new perspective on the world.

My First Feature Film

You may not know it, but I'm a movie star! Mummy has made a a short movie that captures my first 3-4 months and now I'm going to share it with you. I hope that you enjoy it.

More Friends

Lots of playdates lately. This time it was inspired because my friend Lauren came into town from Colorado. Lauren used to live in Illinois, but she and her parents moved this fall. Our friends, Tyler and Callie were also there.

I had a playdate of sorts today with a bunch of my girl friends. I hang with Autumn and Ashlyn all the time, but this was the first time I'd met Mirella. Mirella's only 9 weeks old. All these girls have way more hair then me, but I'm confident enough with myself to not worry too much about it - seriously look at how I attract the girls with just a little hair, imagine what it will be like when I have a full head of hair!

Pumpkin

Mummy's always calling me "pumpkin", and now I really am one. My friend Rebecca in New York made this hat for me and everyone thinks that it's super cute. Also, as you can see, I'm starting to get the hang of sitting.

Solids

I'm such a big boy that I'm starting on solids and a big boy cup. It's a little bit on the early side, but the doctor says that I'll throw up less and that thought makes mummy and daddy really excited. As you'll see, I need a little more practice, but I'm sure I'll get there.

Mixed Feelings

I played in the grass for the first time the other day. It started out ok, but the longer I was in the grass the less I liked it. Mummy and daddy are hopefull that I'll learn to enjoy playtime in the grass, but for now I'm not so sure.

Wine Maker

Don't interrupt, I'm working. After spending a few days in Sonoma Valley, I have a few possible career ideas. I am currently a pretty good whiner, so maybe I'll consider wine making in the future.......

Big Mouths

Sometimes mummy makes silly faces at me and I make them right back. Here we're competing to see who can open their mouth the widest - I'd say it's pretty close if you ask me.
